On behalf of the Congress Organizing Committee ICIEM, and SSIEM we welcome you to the International Congress of Inborn Errors of Metabolism, in Barcelona 2013.
Barcelona is a vibrant Mediterranean city with pleasant weather in September. It is a bastion of culture, maintaining a long art legacy of several generations with a diverse and distinct cuisine, good communication with the outside world and welcomes its visitors with great kindness.
Experts and scientists from around the world will come to Barcelona to share their research, exchange experiences, spend a few days with all attendees and experience Catalan life and culture.
We have put together an ambitious and high level scientific programme, allowing the participation of multidisciplinary delegates. At the same time we have left space in the program to show our visitors the city of Barcelona and its surroundings, its architecture, its culture, its people and importantly its gastronomy.
