The Catalonia Palace of Congresses is a symbol of the contemporary Barcelona. It was designed by the prestigious architects Ferrater and Cartañá, and obtained the National Architecture Award 2001. It is composed of various buildings grouped together which lend emphasis to its characteristic design. The main protagonist is the natural light which prevails through its many rooms.
Located on the Av. Diagonal, Barcelona’s nerve centre and hub of finance, this conference centre is set in the beautiful gardens of the Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I and the Polo Club. It has 35 meeting rooms, 18 of which are located in a multifunctional area, which, by means of a system of panels, can be converted into an open-plan space or 18 meeting rooms, according to the client’s needs.
The focus of the spacious indoor areas are the spectacular auditorium, which seats 2,027 people, and an exhibition area with a total floor space of 2,050 m2. The Catalonia Palace of Congresses can cater for banquets of up to 3,500 guests, with all meals prepared in its modern kitchens (4,000 m2).
